Expanding the Vehicle: From the Base B&ja Mantra to the Advanced Technique
In the daily practice of Open Meditation, the starting point for every meditator is the B&ja Mantra: an essential, effortless seed vibration calibrated to your biological age. It acts as an agile, compact vehicle that effortlessly carries conscious awareness across the thinking surface into the unbounded silence of Being.
With consistent practice, the nervous system stabilizes this silence. Thoughts become lighter, stress dissolves naturally, and the deep rest gained during meditation begins to permeate your daily routine. At this stage, practitioners naturally ask: can the vehicle be expanded?
The answer is yes. That is precisely the purpose of the Advanced Technique (Module 2).
The Sacred Three-Phase Dynamic
In the traditional Vedic science of consciousness, the Advanced Technique does not replace your base mantra. Instead, your personal mantra is integrated into a sacred three-phase rotation that orchestrates the movement of attention in three distinct harmonic dimensions.
While the base mantra acts as a direct anchor into stillness, the Advanced Technique generates an internal vortex of coherence: it refines perception, accelerates neurophysiological hemispheric integration, and allows awareness to dwell simultaneously in silence and active dynamic thinking.
Prerequisites for Module 2
The Advanced Technique requires solid ground. It is not suitable for beginners who have not yet established effortless habit.
- Prerequisite: You must have practiced your personal base mantra regularly for at least 1 month (30 to 90 days), twice a day for 15–20 minutes.
- Effortless Habit: The base sound must feel natural, settled, and completely familiar within your awareness.
